Jess, Joey and I had one last Saturday before school started up again, so we decided to go on a little adventure. It turned out to be a lovey day. It was free entry day to Haramen State Park so there were quite a bit of people that showed up to join the shenanigans, but the park was so big we hardly saw the whole day. I almost biffed it about a billion times whenever I would go too fast or go down a big hill but I'd say I got pretty dang good by the end. No matter, I actually loved it. For the first hour or so I'd yell out how much fun I was having every ten minuets. We found a trail that took us around the lake and then though a huge field. It was one of those places where cameras can't really catch how beautiful it really was(at least not the one I have haha). I also thought I would be freezing the whole time but the sun decided to pay a visit that day so it turned out to be gorgeous....well at least he dropped by for a couple of hours, but after that it only peaked in every once in a while.
There's just something about nature that gets to me. No matter how crappy I'm feeling, if I go on a hike my troubles and worries just seem melt away. Most of my life's best moments have been spent surrounded by nature, whether it's out at sea or in the mountains. It always reminds me that life is pretty dang good and sometimes, in order to realize that, we just need to go somewhere where man hasn't rearranged nature.
